The following video provides a simple tool for metaphor construction. It will remind you of the technique we discussed in the workshop. The illustrations that follow provide real world examples of how metaphors lace our communication.

This next example concerns using images to convey meaning (image as metaphor) and how you can enrich your presentations with fewer slides when you choose great images. It requires some work to find the right images, but there are huge payoffs in communication effectiveness.
Chris Jordan is an artist and conservationist. He takes image making to the creative limits with his original works of art. In the video take note of how he uses the images to metaphorically (and factually) convey powerful ideas about conservation.
