The emotional challenge concerns how to reveal, in relevant ways, a leader’s internal emotional state and how to demonstrate empathy for others’ emotional states. A primary method for detecting these states is contained in the gestures we use, both above and below the neck.

The tutorial to the left concerns the use of gestures, both ratify and clarify emotional states while you communicate. It will outline three things you need to do to get better at using gestures, as well as examples of the four classes of gestures you need to consider.
